Sometimes when you see infomercials on TV, you wonder if the product is really all that it is cracked up to be or if it is just a bunch of hype. I have to say that I felt this way when I first saw the TV infomercial for Bark Off. Anyone who has ever had a dog that is constantly doing nuisance barking would think that Bark Off was a scam because it just seems so darn easy!
I saw the infomercial and decided to give it a try anyway. I had read a few Bark off Reviews that looked good, so it seemed like a good solution to my problem. I was getting so tired of my dog being a nuisance. I live in a townhouse community, so my neighbors are sharing a wall with me. They can hear my dog, Sally, barking day and night. They have been nice about it so far, but I know if she is getting on my nerves then she must be getting on theirs.

I purchased the Bark Off unit using their buy one get one free offer. That was a tremendous help to me because I wanted to be able to keep one by my recliner and take one with me when we go for our nightly walks. Sally is part Golden Retriever and part Beagle (weird combination) and she loves to follow her nose. Not only does she love to take off at a moment’s notice, but she barks at anything that moves. If she sees other dogs, a squirrel or even a kid on a bike, she starts barking.
One of the reasons I got a dog was for protection, but Sally takes it overboard. I don’t want her to become the neighborhood problem dog, but I also want her to know that it is okay to bark if an intruder is trying to break in. The Bark Off unit has been great because I can turn it on whenever I am trying to teach her that it is inappropriate to bark at that moment.
The other Bark off Reviews mentioned that the results were immediate, but I have to say I did not believe them totally. Truthfully, I think I felt a little silly knowing that the solution to the incessant barking had been so easy all along. I have been using BarkOff for a few weeks now and it is like I have a different dog. Instead of barking her brains out while we walk, I can finally relax. She seems to have a much better time too because I am not having to reprimand her all the time.
I decided to really test Sally the other day. She used to bark when people came to the front door. While I want her to bark at strangers and intruders, I did not want her to bark at people we knew well. My best friend came to the door and when I told Sally “no”, she actually listened! It was amazing! So i highly recommend Bark Off to those who are looking to take control over their dog’s barking.

My review for Bark Off isn’t much different from the other Bark Off reviews I have read. What can I say, the product works great! I’m a college student on a tight budget but I needed something to keep my neighbors dogs from barking while I study. After I complained to them a couple of times I realized that there wasn’t anything they could do. Aside from calling the police to have them removed as a nuisance, Bark Off was my only other option. Since I know humans can’t hear the sound and it doesn’t hurt the dogs that do, I simply press it every couple of minutes before I begin working. This calms all of the dogs down slowly until the dogs stop barking all together. Now I can study and get rest un-disturbed and it didn’t cost me much to do it. As a deer hunter I needed a product that would silence my hound dog instantly at the drop of a dime. After seeing the Bark Off testimonial commercial on television, I decided to order one. Prior to this my dog would began to bark at the most awkward moments causing the prey to run away before I could shoot. Now, with the Bark Off, she will remain claim and quiet as I hunt. Bark Off is a great product that works effectively by sending out a frequency that will relax dogs and stop them from barking. I use them to train two of our puppy pit bulls. We decided to start while they are young so when they become bigger, they won’t be as intimidating as other pit bulls we’ve seen around. Even though their breed has a vicious reputation, we want ours to be family dogs. Bark Off allows us to bring them around our grandchildren without the dogs barking and scaring them away. The dogs and the children have bonded and it’s like they are growing up together. All we have to do is press the button on the Bark Off and it works, even from across the yard. Our friends come by and tell us how well behaved our pits are but they don’t know that Bark Off stops the continuous barking. We could never train them to do that on our own and trust me, we’ve tried.

Well! If you are anywhere closer to owning a pet like Dyna, then you know why dogs can sit on your nerves at times. Yes, she is a thing of beauty but she is off the bridle the moment someone is at the door and then begins her long devoted barking. This was rapidly causing mental disintegration as I needed to work on a special project last fortnight. Bark off came as a manna from heaven. The moment I used it on her, her long barks turned into woho, ho and then phew! And then what seemed like thin air…
Bark off ad triggered this response in me and I thank each bark off review for letting me know more about my lifesaver. I don’t know what kind of ultrasonic sound the machine makes but it makes a tamed creature out of my wild lioness. She has rapidly turned into more of a sniffer.

Shipping takes about a week. I have four dogs and two of them just bark and bark. It took only 20 minutes and my house is now at peace. I have neighbors across the street with 3 dogs and they do the same thing. So I put one of the bark offs ( I ordered 4) on my window sil in the living room pointed it at the house and they shut up in ten minutes. The owners did not know what happen. This is one of the best products to come along.

I ordered Bark Off from off the tv ad I saw and I want to let you know it works perfectly. I’m not any different from most people who have tried Bark Off, I am happy with it. I’m not sure why or how it works, I just does. My dog stops barking anytime I use it no matter what. My dog is still a puppy so I am glad I got it when I did because at this rate when she gets bigger she will be a well mannered pet. I don’t want to be like some people who have dogs that just won’t shut up because it’s annoying. I want my dog to just be a cute pet, not a guard dog or a fighter. So far I can tell that if I continue using Bark Off she will be good. To me this product is a life saver. The low price certainly doesn’t reflect the value of owning one either. If anyone check this and thinks it’s some cheap “As seen on TV” product, you are wrong. You only need working batteries to operate the bark off device.

Many of us are interested in this type of devices like Bark Off because we have a neighbor that has many dogs that bark A LOT!!! I love dogs and I’m happy to have them there to bark at possible intruders, but sometimes they’re just TOO MUCH!!

Hello, this is Cindy Jefferson from Fort Lauderdale Florida. I decided to write a Bark Off review after I came across your website. I received one for my birthday that I use when I’m at work for the postal service. As a mail person I encounter loud and unruly dogs on a daily basis. In the past I have tried a dog whistle to calm down barking dogs. The problem with that is I have to continuously exert energy blowing it and it doesn’t work all of the time. The beauty of Bark Off is that all I have to do is press a button and all of the dogs in the area instantly stop barking! Once this occurs I can go through my route and feel less anxious as I normally would. My level of stress and fear has gone away and I have also become more comfortable around the dogs on my route. Many of the dogs that would immediately bark as I approached will no longer bark when I come around. Bark Off has essentially trained them not to bark when they see me arrive.

Hi, my name is David Leiter and I e-mailing you today to give a short “Bark Off” review. I ordered it recently and have been using it the past couple of days on my dog Yummy. She’s a good dog and everything but she gets way too excited when someone comes past the yard. Even though she’s a little thing people always get caught off guard by her barking. She’ll just bark and bark until the person she is barking at is out of her sight completely. Quite frankly it’s rather embarrassing and annoying. I was contemplating whether o not I should give her away because our neighbors have complained repeatedly. Since I got Bark Off she doesn’t bark as she normally does. Now, she is just like a regular dog wit some barking but not to the extent she was barking at before. This device seems to train the dog. I thought it would just make them stop barking only when you used it. To my surprise it has completely altered her barking behavior.

Okay, so I was given Bark Off by a co-worker after a discussion on how to control or pets. She said that it would control my dogs and stop them from barking. Just as most people, I didn’t think it could quiet my Boxers. Actually, my dogs are so aggressive that I laughed when she told me about Bark Off. What do you know, to my surprise my dogs will stop barking once I press the button on Bark Off. It seems to relax them a bit and then they just won’t bark any longer. My youngest Boxer WAS the biggest noise of them all but over the past few weeks she has developed a new personality that doesn’t include hours of needless barking. I just want to send a thank you to Bark Off for such a wonderful inexpensive product.

I bought Bark Off in a in Maine and I have a beagle. If you know anything about beagles you will understand I had a serious barking issue. I have tried the lemon spray collars and it wouldnt work unless I blew into it but didnt go off when my dog would bark. I was and still am against the electric collar but Bark Off seems to be so far improved the situation 90%. Its only been a few days and Lilly has barked but kind of loses steam and gusto and looks at me saying “what is that annoying noise?” So its working so far! I am in montreal as well.

My terrier is the best pet I could have ever dreamt off. Obediently trailing me on long walks and not fussy at all about what food I give him. He is also the most hygienic kid God could give me but then all can’t come out well from God’s yards. He has a lamentable baritone. He barked like there would be no tomorrow. Now, nothing on earth could help me change him in this regard till my eyes fell on a bark off review.
Bark off is an excellent product. There was a “buy one get one” offer running so I picked up two and placed them at a distance of 20 feet at my home. Now whenever jumbo barks, an ultrasonic impulse immediately brings his bark to an end.
Also, I have come to know through one of the bark off reviews that dog’s age would not matter for the product.

I am waiting the arrival of the BarkOff I ordered. I have a dog next door to me that barks if I walk outside, open my back door or walk down the cellar stairs inside my house! The dog sits near the fence at my side of the yard and barks at every little noise. The houses are very close together. Even if I open a closet door inside my house, the dog will bark. I feel like I am being held prisoner in my own home by this dog. From what others are saying it appears you have to push the button as opposed to having a constant signal. Is there some way to set a constant signal? For example, If I am outside working in my yard, can I just set this so it will omit the signal the entire time I am out there. Also, it says it works up to 20 ft. Can anyone confirm this. Thanks.

Yes, I am replying to my own comment. NO, unfortunately it did not work for the dog next door. I have stood within 3 feet of the dog, pointed bark off directly at it and nothing! I left the bark off on top of my garbage can pointing in the direction of the dog while I am working in the yard – nothing. Either I got 2 defective ones or it simply does not work on this dog. Very disappointed.

Hi, I’m here to say I am very pleased with Bark Off. I just received another letter threatening me with a 100 dollar fine from my homeowner’s association if I couldn’t get my dogs to stop barking. I have tried crating them while I’m gone but to no avail. I am really hoping it’s successful while I’m gone. I just used it this evening and they have responded beautifully. One bark, the Bark off turns on, and amazingly they stop barking. I understand my neighbor’s frustrations, and we were frustrated ourselves. This will bring peace to everyone. I was worried I would have to resort to shock collars, but it appears this will provide a humane solution for our little “family” of dogs. We placed one our living room and one on our patio.

He is actually whispering barking. It works right out of the box, he was barking non stop , I got the battery in, and placed it on the table. He barked one more time, looked puzzled, actually went over to the table it’s on and look around. I just used it behind me, he was barking out the window, he quieted down and laid down but is still looking out the window.

I got my bark off about a week ago and it is a miracle! Honestly, but let me explain how I am using it b/c there are a few cons. I have a roommate who my dog apparently does not have any respect for b/c she can’t get him to stop barking if I’m not home. I wanted to leave it on when I left, but It will not work that way b/c voices set it off. You need to use it as a training aid and turn it on when needed and off before rewarding good behavior or your “good quite” will set it off… not how it shows in the commercial.
First for the negatives..
1. Like many others, I was annoyed with the several pop-up pages trying to sell me more stuff.
2. Even after denying all the extras I also got a call later that day from a man with a very heavy accent trying to sell me extras again- it took me about 3 minutes to even realize what he was calling about no joke!
3. Shipping took a while b/c of back order, but I still got it w/in the 6 weeks they say.
4. There is no indicator light.
5. It is NOT silent- I can hear the tone if I speak into the mic. part and then put it right next to my ear, but I use that as an indicator of sorts… I guess I could do that from time to time to see if the batteries are dead. Other noises set it off so it cannot be turned on and left on b/c it will go off even when the dog is being good and I think probably lose it’s effectiveness after a while.
All that in mind I realized I could not use it the way I wanted to, but with a little effort on my part it has been a godsend. My dog is very sweet, but he barks and lunges at strangers on walks which is not o.k. I basically have it with me always and if he barks I say”quiet” and turn it on. He must hate it b/c after only 1 day I only need to show him it and he is an angel! We have been walking so much more b/c he is so calm and nice when we pass people now and half the time I don’t even need to turn it on. He’s even calm with kids, bikes and scooter which were what scared him most! I’m hoping within a few months I can fade it out completely! All I want is for him to know when I say its time to be quiet or calm he needs to listen and this product has really helped my dog!
One thing to note* Today we walked for about 1/2 an hour and the only time I turned it on was when we were passing a basset hound tied up in it’s yard barking like crazy. Not b/c I was trying to quiet down that dog, I just didn’t want my dog to respond so I told him to “leave it” and turned it on. He was perfect, but it didn’t seem to affect the other dog at all so either it does not reach the 20ft. it claims, or some dogs are immune.

I have a Chocolate Lab who is 7 and a Lab-Rotty-Pit mix who is 6. The mix breed only barks when he feels he should. For some reason he assesses the situation and is relatively quiet, unless it’s really necessary. The Lab is THE MOST vocal dog I have EVER owned. We have tried numerous methods to quiet her. Sad to say we’ve even tried the “shock” collar with a 9 volt charge. I didn’t use that more than a few times bc I felt terrible. We tried the time out method seen on “It’s me or the dog”, where you put them in a room and when they stop barking you let them out and then do it again ea. time they barked. Did I mention she is also VERY stubborn! Duke the mix would whine and poke the doorknob with his nose for me to let his sister out.
We tried that spray collar too. While we were at Pet Smart Friday getting all our pet supplies, I saw Bark Off and since it was only $10 we bought it. Let me tell you, it worked!!! All I had to do to test it was say who’s there and she let out one bark and then looked around. She did this 3 times and then just looked towards the door. I don’t want to stop her barking completely, but only when she becomes a bother to us and the neighbors. It was out of control. I have such a peaceful house now. THANK YOU BARK OFF! I was wondering if some of the reviews were real or not, but let me just say I now know this is a GREAT product. Out of 1-10 I give this hands down a 10!

Bark off does work-and yes you can leave it in the on position all the time. I just wish there was an indicator light to tell you when you need to replace the battery. Maybe they can work that into a new design.

bark off really really works. we do not have a dog but are using it for a nuience chuawa by our apt. down stairs about 40 ft. and i must say since i hid it and leave it on every time someone walks by another dog walks by it does not bark at all anymore.
all it does is it is well behaved when the neighbor lupe puts him outside. I would most definetly recommend this product to anyone. Thank you bark off now i do not have to listen to anyoning dogs bark anymore thanks to bark off. it really really works!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received my bark off yesterday, I tried it and believe it or not IT WORKS GREAT, I have a little dog that is a jack russel, chiawawa mix and she barks at EVERYTHING, I turned it on and she stopped right away, last night my son and two friends came in and she did NOT bark which is very odd for her, she usually barks like crazy even if she knows the people but this time she didn’t , this product really works, I am so happy I ordered, the only negative thing I noticed is that is does make my dog shake , I guess it freaks her out somewhat but it seems like it won’t take her long to “get it”. If you have a crazy barking dog that you cannot control you need to get one of the bark off boxes it really does the job.. and for 10 bucks it is very worth it.

I purchased this for my two dogs who bark at passers by on the sidewalk. It works well. I have a friend who purchased one to take fly fishing when he encounters bears! It actually works, too! We took it to the zoo to try it on the grizzlies and no one could figure out what was stirring up the bears. It’s a great product!
