working when used with 9V alkaline batteries. My dog barks and when he is within 20 feet of the Barkoff he will not stop. Please advise

Yes, light must be on, if its off that mean your bark off device is not working. Make sure you check your batteries.

Sorry – I made an error. I thought the microphone on the
Barkoff was a light. I am using the new batteries, just bought (9v alkaline batteries) and the equipment is still not working.

Does Bark Off really work? That was my question before I got the product. Once I received it I can honestly say it does indeed work. All you have to do it activate it whenever you feel the need to control your dogs barking. For the price of it versus having your dog trained, it’s best to buy Bark Off. My dog no longer barks as he used to due to Bark Off. It’s something that all dog owners should get in my opinion. –Jonathon Williams

Cannot understand whey Barkoff is not working properly yet.
This morning I carried the Barkoff with me when the dog was in the back yard. I was within 3 feet of the dog and he just keep barking….I have one set up in the back yard withing 10-15 feet and he keeps barking….Give me a few ideas of what I can do……

Hi, I just got my Bark Off product in the mail earlier yesterday. As soon as I got it I got my dog excited to the point where she began barking. I then gave the Bark Off a try and it worked right away. She responded immediately and just stopped barking. I went ahead and ordered a few for gifts for family and friends. Thanks a lot Bark Off for giving me a way to control my dog when the situation calls for it. –

I just got two of the bark offs, installed 2 9 volt batteries, how do I tell if it working. There is a little round item that looks like a light? Or is the indicator when batteries are low, just want to know how do I tell if it is working.

I purchased two Barkoffs. I have very similiar questions as those below. I have not been taken on these. I have several individuals that want to purchase them but they are waiting to see my results.
1) I put a brand new battery in each of them. I tested them on three different dogs at multiple ranges.
2) Does a light go on when they are working? If so, where is the light.
3) If they are faulty devices – You will be replacing them at not cost to me…… Correct.

Seems like barkoff is now working and the dog seems quite.
Will let you know if it gets better. I have not found a light on the barkoff. I thought that was the microphone and not a light.

So, I’m considering purchasing a Bark Off, but wonder if it will work for my problem. My dog, Roxy, doesn’t bark a lot, but she whines a considerable amount when she’s in her kennel. Has anyone seen success using this product in similar situations?

How far does the Bark Off carry? I live in a rural neighborhood and there are several outside dogs that bark a lot. I don’t own a dog anymore (I got rid of her because she barked too much), and I don’t enjoy hearing everyone elses dogs bark their heads off when I’m outside.

I have one question, forgive me if it’s been asked/answered already.
My issue is when we’re NOT home. My dog doesn’t bark while we’re home, aside from the normal doorbell/doorknock alert barking, but when we leave, I believe he becomes anxious which causes him to bark. I don’t know if he’s barking the entire time we’re gone, but I have heard him bark when we leave and then there’s other times we’ve heard him barking when we’ve come home.
We live in an apt community so we want to be respectful.
I’ve read the comments and from what I conclude, one has to ‘activate’ the device in order to work, correct? If so, it seems as though this product wouldn’t be beneficial for us. Unless there’s another way this product could be used.
